6 months old!

My baby boy is 6 months old today!

This is basically what he looks like most of the day, squealing and laughing!

Here is an update of what he has done/learned over the last month.

Sleeping: Takes only 2 naps a day about 1-2 hours each. Down for the night around 8 p.m. wakes once or twice to eat. Has slept through the night a few times, but that doesn't mean I do. I still wake up and run in there wondering why he didn't wake up yet!

Eating: Drinks huge bottles of milkey! Eats dinner with us, usually has sweet potatoes, his favorite! Loves to suck on pickles, tried blueberry and apples and loved it. He liked peas the first time he had them, 2nd time wasn't too interested, but he was in a bad mood. I usually give him a taste of things I'm eating. He chewed on celery the other night at the Olive Garden and liked it.

Favorite toys: LOVES Sophie the Giraffe, a teething toy. I don't know what it is about her, but babies can't get enough. He also likes his jumperoo, unless he's in a bad mood.

New Discoveries: Feet and weener. He always is trying to chew on his piggies or is grabbing his weener when he's in the bath or getting changed. I don't enjoy the weener grabbing when I'm changing a poopy diaper. He puts every thing that he grabs in his mouth and he is grabbing everything! He is especially interested in tv remotes and cell phones. If you have it in your hand he drops his toy and goes after what you have.

Accomplishments: Pretty much sits on his own, a little wobbly at times and loses balance, but doing better. Can roll from tummy to back and back to tummy, scoots around during tummy time to get to other toys on his blanket.

Places he went: Old Salem, Mayberrry Days in Mt. Airy, NC Zoo with Aunt K, Dark in the Park, Autumn Leaves Festival, Lawson Grave, Moravian Graveyard.

New friends: Liam!

Liam and his mommy Marisa

sleepy boy.

Someone fell asleep watching Franklin.

i love to swing!!

We went to the park today and Carson loved the swing! Here is a video.

Nanners.

Carson loves bananas! Here is a video of him eating bananas.

Rocky hates us.

One of the days Kerry was here we were gone all day long, which means Rocky was stuck in the kitchen all day. When we got home, pictures from the fridge had been knocked down. One of Kerry and Chris and one of me and Shane. The one of Kerry and Chris was untouched. The one of me and Shane was...well here's the picture of the remains...

Apparently, he was really ticked off that we were gone all day and wanted us to know it hahaha!

old salem, graveyards, and dark in the park. day of fun!

Today was filled with fun and adventure! We went to Old Salem, to an old Moravian graveyard in the woods by our apartment, then to another graveyard where the Lawson's are buried (their story is here if you are interested), and finally to Dark in the Park at Bethabara Park.

First Old Salem:

Next up...Moravian graveyard. There were stones in it from the 1800s. Supposedly around Halloween, satanists go down there at night. We visited during the day, to avoid the satanists, and there was just an old man with his dog named Jingle Bell down there haha.

At the graveyard with the Lawson graves.

The whole family was buried here.

Someone put a penny on every name, necklaces on the girls, and no money only a beer on the dad's grave haha

Shane wanted his graveyard photo shoot:

Not pictured are the huge spider and it's web of evil that was on Kerry's boot and leg when we were getting ready to leave!

Here is an exact drawing of the culprit:

Finally, after a day of excitement, we arrived at Dark in the Park at the park behind our apartments. It's the same park they put on the community concerts in the summer and the concert band was there in their costumes playing the same ol' songs they usually play and not very well. We were all excited to have hot dogs and cokes when we got there but just our luck the hot dog guy was NOT there! This put a damper on the evening, but we still had people watching to look forward too. Mostly it was just a bunch of annoying kids running around acting like fools in their costumes.

The day ended with chili, baked potatoes, and cokes at Wendys!
